Great news for Scottish skating: Sportscotland is to support a three year Scottish Short Track Development programme. The plan was prepared and presented by Archie Marshall (Sk8scotland Speed Director) and Stuart Horsepool (GB Performance Director – Short Track). The programme will focus on club development and a Scottish Development Squad that will be part of the pathway to GB Junior and Senior squads. It will be run by Archie starting April 2012 in partnership with Sportscotland who will bring high levels of expertise as well as financial support to the programme. The partnership with Sportscotland is a great opportunity for our sport, one that we all must work to maximise.
